Copilot for site creation, allows you to generate a site by describing the site you're looking to create, in natural language. This feature reduces the time it takes for you to build a site. This capability significantly simplifies the decision-making process and accelerates site creation as you don't need to spend time to build each page. Copilot for site creation generates the relevant site name, site address, home page layout and more pages, where you can choose these suggestions or make changes as needed and create a site.

What is the intended use of Copilot for site creation?

How was Copilot for site creation evaluated? What metrics are used to measure performance?

Copilot for site creation underwent substantial testing before the feature was released. It relies on user feedback to report if the AI-generated site name, address, home page and other pages aren't relevant or inappropriate. If you encounter irrelevant or inappropriate responses, report it to Microsoft using the thumbs down gesture and include feedback in the form. We track the telemetry of thumbs up and thumbs down gestures present in the Copilot experiences for each AI-generated output. Your feedback helps improve the functionality moving forward. In addition to this, we also track this feature's SLA to make sure it's always available to you.

What are the limitations of Copilot for site creation? How can users minimize the impact of the Copilot for site creation limitations when using the system?

This feature doesn’t support non-English language input.

There's a limit on the number of tokens allowed in a query and response.
There's a limit of 250 characters to describe the site.
Once a home page layout is selected and more pages are selected to create a site, the site creation itself would take from 40 to 150 seconds for the site creation.
Only up to six more pages are suggested during the site creation.
The pages that are created in the website don't create forms or lists in them. However, you can use Copilot inside Power Pages Design Studio to create a form or a list inside the site as needed.
The additional pages that are suggested don't have a retry button. You can use Copilot inside the Power Pages Design Studio to make revisions to the pages generated as needed.
This feature isn't available for the first ever site created. However, you can use this feature for every subsequent site creation from the Power Pages home page.

What operational factors and settings allow for effective and responsible use of the feature?

You can describe the site you need to create, and Power Pages uses LLMs to generate the site name, address, home page layout and extra pages required for creation of the site. Revise the site name and address as required, or retry the home page layout generated and select from the more pages needed for your site. When done, a site is created based on your inputs.
