Did Microsoft steal my 700 Euro ?

Hello.

I own a full license of Visual Studio Professional 2015. As the title implies, i payed 700 Euro for my Visual Studio license, and i have a key.

When i reinstalled one of my workstations today i found out that Visual Studio Professional 2015 is no longer available for download on the Microsoft Visual Studio Website, under "Download older Visual Studio versions".

So, ... did Microsoft steal my license now, and i will no longer be able to work ?

Please no suggestion about getting me the crap spy versions of Visual Studio from nowadays. I own a license, and i need that to work. Period.

If you don’t see Visual Studio Professional 2015 listed on this download page, it is likely not supported for the account(subscription) that you signed in.

Do you have a valid corresponding subscription(account) which may be associated with your product key? If you have one, please try to use that subscription to sign in above website and check again.

Sure i did. That is the first place i always went when i downloaded my version of Visual Studio over the past years.

Why would i not see it anylonger if it was always there before. It is just recently, since this year, that it is no longer there. Also, by the way, ... same goes for VS 2017/2019 and so on. And not just for me, but you can find people asking exactly that in Microsoft forums for the past months. It seems that all former VS versions were removed to push the citizens into that new spy Visual Studio.

You guys should read, research, and understand the question first, and then you should reply.

Why would I not see it any longer if it was always there before.

We have noticed the issue that you mentioned, and it’s true, for "Visual Studio Dev Essentials" subscription, you might not see the corresponding downloading link.

I knew that you have a full license of VS Professional 2015 and you have a key, but I’m not 100% sure if you have other subscriptions except "Visual Studio Dev Essentials" subscription(you can check here: Your Subscriptions). Normally, if you have a corresponding valid subscription, you should see the download link. The option listed on the left also indicates this:

Same goes for VS 2017/2019 and so on.

VS 2019 is currently still available here: Download and here: Release Dates and Build numbers.

Please kindly submit a ticket on our Developer Community for better confirmation and investigation. If you do submit a ticket, please also kindly share the ticket link here for better tracking the issue.

I just checked and see "Visual Studio Professional 2015" with version "with Update 3" available to download.

If you have more then one VS subscriptions, make sure you select the earlier one in "Subscriptions" tab first.

I dont know why you guys would come up with a "Did you plugin the power cord" type like question, especially to a guy who knows literally every backdoor in your OS, as low level Hacker.

Both your questions, Tianyu and Cheong, are pointless. How often do you want me to repeat it. What is so hard to understand from: IT WAS ALWAYS THERE BEFORE IN THE PAST 8 YEARS, IT WAS ONLY REMOVED SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THIS YEAR.

Now, ... got it ? The problem is on your side.

Anyways, your attempt to steal licenses from developers, and force them into your crap VS 2022, failed heavily on me. I was intelligent enough to create clean DVDs from iso back then. I have Visual Studio 2015 now with Update 3 included on a quadrouple backup, on USB sticks, and several times on DVD. Me == 1, You == 0. I won. Discussion ends here my dear average workers. I am no longer interessted in debating why you removed the downloads.
