Hello all,
I am unable to connect RDP session to Azure VM if I change the default RDP port to Custom RDP port e.g 5533. After performing connection troubleshoot it is showing the result as "RDP access is blocked by DenyAllInBound".
If I revert the changes to default port it absolutely works fine. Can anyone please help me to rectify the issue?

You need to set the port to 3389

If you want to use a custom port, then you need to first configure the OS accordingly. Details at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/remote/remote-desktop-services/clients/change-listening-port

Thanks for the response.
To harden the security, I want to set the custom RDP port. Required registry changes are already done t OS level. Also, the service is properly listening on newly configured custom port. As I mentioned earlier, RDP access is working fine with default port.
Verify whether your RDP changes are effective by connecting to the VM via Remote Desktop from another VM in the same virtual network. This is allowed by NSG by default

Yes buddy. it is already tested & working absolutely fine.
Please refer this statement "After performing connection troubleshoot it is showing the result as "RDP access is blocked by DenyAllInBound".
AFAIK, the troubleshooter is not in the position to determine that the Remote Desktop is listening on a custom port - hence the message. Make sure you are connecting via the custom port from the Remote Desktop client.

The last reply has resolved my issue. Local firewall was enabled. Added the required rules.
