sharepoint drag and drop wont work

i used to be able to drag and drop files and folders within sharepoint. now i cant. what settings need to be reconfigured to allow this?

According to your description, the incident should be accidental.

Did you make any changes?

Are other sites and users also in this situation?

Generally speaking, the drag and drop feature works when any of following conditions are true:

• You use the latest version of Mozilla Firefox.
• You use the latest version of Google Chrome.
• You use the desktop version of Internet Explorer 10 or Internet Explorer 11.
• You use Internet Explorer 8 or Internet Explorer 9, and you have Microsoft Office 2013 or newer installed on your computer.

If you don’t know what settings have been modified and cannot find the cause of the problem, it is recommended that you use Sync files with the OneDrive sync client in Windows in Windows as a workaround.

At my company the default browser is Edge. We are on Windows 10.

I'm using SharePoint Online. I thought it would be a nice functionality to use the split screen and drag and drop files from one library to another, but it doesn't work. Why?

Also, I tried drag and drop with 2 Chrome windows and it doesn't work either. Why?
